Rats.

DS's karate classes at the Y may be cancelled due to low enrollment. He was really looking forward to the Spring session because he was supposed to do his grading for his orange belt. *sigh* At least he'll still get his soccer in the summer, but that won't start until June. Or was it late May? I can't remember.

That sucks, I guess there's not another class nearby? That's a long time for a kid not to have anything to do.

Yuch... it just means he'll be more antsy around the house for the next couple of months before soccer starts.

Been there, done that with the karate class cancellation due to lack of enrollment -- they ended up putting our kid into a larger, all-ages class with big teens in it instead of more age-specific groups (he was about 8 at the time). Not the ideal situation for a scrawny kid with not much self-confidence to be paired up with much-bigger guys in there.

Hope you can find something in the interim to keep him occupied! How about a bowling league?

That does suck.

Conner attended a birthday party at a karate place, and he now wants to do it. There is a place that has an after-school program, which is on my short list of after-school options for him in September.
