DH's bike got stolen this morning. He went out for a ride, stopped at a store and when he came out, some loser had cut the chain right off. Bastard.
Edit to add: and now there is smoke wafting out of the hood of my car. It's probably the coolant again. Yippee.

Whee. It probably got used to buy a joint or two, based on my experience down around that area.
I found out that the laptop stolen from my Wentworth campus office a few years ago was used to barter for PCP -- we got the laptop back after the cops recovered it in a bust, but everything on it was wiped out.
Hope everything works out with the car!
Oh yeah, Pepe, we wouldn't have even considered anyone other than a junkie. And it's not like the second-hand stores (ha) around here are so reputable, so it's easy to sell what you steal.
Too bad about your files. That must have been heartbreaking, even if you did get the laptop back.

Swami: Hamilton Street Railway. We took the bus to DS's soccer game tonight. That was one more miserable thing: it was cold and it rained and the game took forfreakingever. At least the bus was on time and fast.
